Feb 24, 2003: Main culprits in anti Indian slanderous exercise

Pakistani government has employed a Michigan-based PR firm to promote their anti-India propaganda by paying 600,000 dollars a year. We are not aware of any such efforts on behalf of Indian govt so far. Forget about promoting Indian interests, we do not even see efforts to counter such propaganda which is very dangerous for India’s future especially Jammu and Kashmir. Our missions abroad can not go beyond stamping visas and renewing passports.

In this situations NRIs are left to act to counter such baseless propaganda by Pakistan. NRI can not and should not ignore this Pakistani propaganda.

If you are in New Hampshire area and are willing to participate please reply to this email. Even if you are not in NH area please forward this mail to your friends especially in USA.

Main culprits in anti Indian slanderous exercise

Though provoking letter by L.T.Sippy in response to "Indian Army killed 75,000 Kashmiris" – IHT.

"On the day Pakistani acting High Commisioner Jalil Abbas Jilani was expelled he was on our TV channels with Rajdeeps and Co interviewing him and allowing him to criticise and abuse our government. Sudhir Vyas was expelled in retaliatory action by Pakistan. He was never allowed to be interviewed on Pakistani media. Instead he was abused and assaulted in Pakistan. When Vyas crossed over in India no one from our Negationist media brought him on our screens for truth to come out. But again Jilani was allowed to throw muck on Indias establishment after his return to Pakistan naturally foreign envoys in India and Pakistan follow anti Indian line and the culprit is our negationist media."

Differentiate between Pimping and Journalism

If we want decent journalism, the management people should be shown their place. The editor must be reinstated on the pedestal. All things, then, will naturally follow…. If journalistic credibility has to be restored, then the sickness of some newspaper souls has to be ruthlessly exposed and in this responsible citizens must take the lead.

History anyone?

Unfortunately, from all indications thus far, the film, which has been titled Invaders, is not about the Marathas. Nor is it about the perfidy of the English. Instead, the film focuses on the brave and dashing Lieutenant Stewart
