In March, TIME Magazine published an article ‘In the Heart of Hate’
(By Meenakshi Ganguly, Ahmadabad) giving vivid accounts of how “Hindu
Extremists” (TIME phrase) killed Muslims and raped the Muslim women in
Ahamdabad, Gujarat.
TIME Magazine reported : Mr.Ahsan Jafri was killed by Hindu attackers and
that a boy in the Hindu mob had watched Mr.Jafri’s daughters being stripped
and raped. The Hindu boy sounded admiring. He was asked by TIME reporter
“When he grew up, would he do that?” The boy is claimed to have said: May be
not rape, but he would kill Muslims when they have to be punished.
ABSOLUTELY BASELESS AND BIASED REPORTING BY THE TIME MAGAZIN?
TIME Magazine admitted after three months : “Mr. Jafri had only one daughter;
she was in the U.S. when the violence occurred and was not raped”
TIME freely used “Hindu extremists” & “Hindu Militants” but was careful
enough not to use “Muslim mob” or “Muslim Militants” whose BARBARISM (that
can put even the animals to shame) was responsible for the riots that
followed:

The External Affairs Ministry has meanwhile slammed Time magazine for an
elaborate piece that it has run questioning the Prime Minister's health and
his competence to control India's nuclear button. The PMO has issued a strong
rejoinder to Time magazine saying its article on Vajpayee was in poor taste,
and questioning some of the factual details in the article. The rejoinder
will be printed in the magazine's next issue.
