1. The most criticizing report on Gujarat came form US based Humans Rights Watch (HRW claims to be independent unbiased organization). Indian Express: ‘MEA’s website has 55-frame slide show on Gujarat, not one mentions a single Muslim death’. There are many other indicators and reports that lead to only one conclusion, the Killings must stop and state govt must take strong actions to bring the guilty to books. This process should start form Godhara and end at the carnage after till the last violence incident.

MEA is a window for official information on India and should not indulge in hiding any information form the world. Credibility of any organization can be known form what they hide rather than what they reveal. MEA must update their site for provide information on 800+ Muslims killed (if they have not so far)

Maybe the M in MEA can’t include Muslim

On the other hand the HRW that highlighted Govt. involvement in Muslim killings in 75 page report did not have too many lines for Godhra carnage. What a blatant bias by this ‘so called’ Human Rights group.

CWC strongly supports the view ‘Indian first, hindu, muslim, christian, sikh later’ expressed by Humayun Thaj hthaj@yahoo.com in response to our last newsletter.
‘The nation and world condemn terrorism in kashmir. So should all patriotic people condemn Gujarat and Godra too. A human life whether hindu or muslim, Indian or American, is precious. Any civilized person could protest on what happened in Gujarat or Godra. It is a sin against humanity, against civilization. And more it is a huge crime against our motherland, India. The extremeists who go in the name of hindutva are as dangerous and anti-national as the terrorists in kashmir. We should be rid of both for the country to develop economically and politically and for its citizens to leave peacefully and happily. Indian first, hindu, muslim, christian, sikh later.’

2. What if Godhra was Los Angeles?

Ever wondered how a law-abiding civilized society would respond to Godhra? Last week President Bush visited Los Angeles to mark the 10th anniversary of the worst civil riots in US. Riots were touched off after four LA police officers accused of beating black motorist were acquitted by an all-white jury. The result: 54 Killed, 2300+ injured, 13,000+ arrested, 1 billion damage in three days.

A simple acquittal of 4 police officers caused havoc in a law-abiding civilized society like America that killed 54 innocents. What could have happened if 58 innocents including women and children had been charred to death using all kinds of weapons?

3. ‘Condemn atrocities on Kashmiri Pandits’

Here is a message for all PSEUDO-SECULARS of India and the BIASED world outside over their double standards. ‘While endorsing the demand the removal of Narendra Modi, Pandit said those opposing Gujarat chief minister should insist on the removal of Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah.’ But our PSEUDO-Secular tribe won’t do it. Is it because the Hindu minority in Kashmir did not kill 58 innocents???

‘It is high time secularists adopted an even-handed approach towards violence against any community. Double standards actually help the fundamentalists on either side of the communal divide’

4. Vajpayee reveals his true colors.
Here goes CNN on secularism in India.

CNN says: ‘Muslims' confidence in Indian secularism has been shaken again. Until the majority of Hindus make it absolutely clear that they are determined to live up to the Indian tradition of equal respect for all religions, there will be no antidote to the communal poison being spread by some leaders of both communities.’

The responsibility of “equal respect for all religions” is both way process, not one way responsibility. Every society has a collective responsibility and it can not be one sided (that is how it is in India). CNN forgot to mention: Was Godhra an example of Muslim’s ‘Indian tradition of equal respect for all religions’? If equality should be adopted by the law, then it would be the Muslims that would oppose such law. It should be law and not the principles of PSEUDO-Secularism.

Let us have a look at CNN’s selective reporting. CNN was the only leading agency that did not report following statements by Mr.Moussaoui, the alleged "20th hijacker" accused of conspiracy in the Sept. 11 terror attacks. He told the courtroom "I pray to Allah" for "the destruction of the United States of America," for "the destruction of the Jewish people and state" and for the victory of Muslims fighting in Chechnya, India and elsewhere.

Why did CNN find the need to NOT report these statements indicating the Global reach of terrorism by the alleged 20th terrorist? (When all other leading agencies reported these statements exactly as they were said in quotes.)

5. Muslims have to make cogent efforts to improve their lot.

When Chairman of Minority Commission in India, Mohammed Shamin, was asked How would you describe the state of minorities in India under this government? His response was:

‘(laughs ) as far as the progress of a particular community is concerned, it cannot come from outside. Something has to be done by the community itself. We have to improve the standard of education, we have to improve what a particular [minority] community lacks. There is a dearth of leadership among Muslims. Muslims -- economically, socially, educationally -- have not come out as equals with their other brothers in the country. They are lagging far behind. The Muslims have to realise that since they are lagging behind their other brothers, they have to make cogent efforts to improve their lot. This realisation has to come. The Muslims should march at a galloping pace to catch up with their brothers. They must enjoy the blessings of education. Only then will they see the light.’

6. Cakes with gods' images shock Hindus in UK

A store in Oxford Street, London is selling luxury cakes with the pictures of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. The name of the store is Selfridges and the Bollywood related show was inaugurated by Amitabh Bachhan, Jaya Bachhan, Dimple Kapadia and Madhuri Dixit. Thanks to all those who informed us about this issue and link.

7. Petition: disparate adoption laws in India

Current adoption laws in India entitles the Hindu adopting parents complete parental rights of the child; however non-Hindu adopting parents only the guardianship rights instead of complete parental rights. In short the laws favor Hindus more than non Hindus. Ruby Nakka (the petitioner) says “my wife and I adopted a baby girl, thanks to the laws in the US which are in favor of the adopting parents having equal rights to biological parents. After experiencing the joy of being parents, my wife and I feel that every adopting couple should have the same experience or better”. CWC requests Indians to support this petition to help change the disparate laws.
