Sep 05, 2001: Support for Sheikh Abdul Rashid

Sheikh Abdul Rashid is superintendent of Police (Prisons) in Kashmir. Delhi Police officials mistook him for a militant when he came to Delhi for a function at the invitation of Home Ministry. He was picked up on suspicion of being a "terrorist" and kept in custody.

Because he spoke to Newspapers about his victimization, the Government of India is punishing him. Despite he being on the hit list of Kashmiri militants his security cover has been withdrawn, he has been asked to vacate his official residence, his vehicle has been taken away. (source ExpressIndia)

‘Cause We Care’ supports Sheikh Abdul Rashid and protests against action on him. His mis-treatment and victimization is going to have detrimental effect on moral of Kashmir police force. Our govt should know - this is a step backward in sensitive state of kashmir.
