Classifieds, Yellowpages, Websites and Event Listing at iVarta.com

iVarta Classifieds/Yellowpages are designed for local trading by meeting the buyer/seller in person.  

iVarta.com is NOT involved in any transaction, and does not handle payments, guarantee transactions, provide security or escrow services. We do not represent or endorse the accuracy or reliability of the contents of any ad. Ads are NOT reviewed before they go live online.

You should take following precautions to avoid a fraud:

• ALWAYS, DEAL ONLY LOCALLY BY MEETING THE SELLER/BUYER IN PERSON - Follow this simple rule and you will eliminate 99.9% of the scammers. 
   

• DO NOT send payment through wire transfer serviceS like Western Union, Moneygram etc. or by mailing a check. 
   

• Absolutely NEVER deal with any person operating from international destinations.  
   

• Never provide your personal or banking information (e.g. social insurance number, credit card number) to others over the Internet. Never give out your iVarta Verification Number/password, even if asked to do so in an email supposedly sent from iVarta team member. We never send any email asking for your personal information.
   

• Understand the common methods adopted by scammers and fraudsters (given below).

Know more about common scams and frauds:

• Scams targeting renters desperate for affordable apartments: Scammer will advertise for an apartment for rent (or sale) that is too good to be true. Something like a fully furnished two-bedroom with a balcony in NY area, going for $950 instead of the $2,200 it would normally fetch because of the tenant's sudden job transfer. The catch: You have to take it sight unseen - and send a security deposit. They will ask for deposit money (by wire transfer) to hold the apartment in your name. Once the few hundred dollars are sent, the advertiser will never reply to you again. This type of scam is becoming more common because apartments have become a hot commodity in big cities.
   
• Overpayment: A buyer or seller will send you a check with higher amount and then ask for the difference/extra money to be returned to them by check or wire transfer. Often their check would bounce back and you would have lost all money you sent to the other party.
   
• Brokerage fees/Shipping costs/Customs duty: A seller claims that there is a brokerage fee, Shipping cost, Customs duty, token payment required to get the item in your country/city. Do not pay such fees, because once the payment is delivered to them, they will stop the correspondence. There is not much you can do to retrieve those money.
   
• Fake escrow sites: A buyer or seller suggests using escrow service to complete the transaction. These escrow sites are often run by the fraudsters (even though it appears as an "official" website). You will never receive any communication from them once they receive the money, and they would never send you any product/service.
   
• Money transfer Scams: You get an email saying that your help is needed to take the money out of a country and that you will be paid a huge commission for your help. They will ask you for the money to help them settle the transaction and once they are paid you will never hear from them again.
   
• Work from home offers: Many work from home offers are either spammers or frauds or "pyramid schemes" that require you to recruit other members to get paid. An ad may say that you can make $10,000 a month. But you will need to sell the product/service to many others to make that money. Several Home job offers will have you register at their websites (at certain fees) and you will end-up spamming for those websites (enter their ads on various free classified websites)

Be extremely careful about the advertisers that offer:

• Loans in millions of $ without credit history (they have low interest rates and do not have a website)
• Home Jobs that offer unrealistically high returns (thousands of dollars per week etc)
• Gold dust, Palm oil, Crude Oil etc in high quantities from international locations.
• Children for adoption from remote countries.
• Kidneys or other human organs for Free.
• Do not believe in any offers that are too good to believe in.

Ticketing Services

iVarta.com sells electronic tickets for social and cultural events, shows, concerts, performances, on behalf of the organizers of these events. iVarta.com does not set the ticket prices, determine seating locations, rescheduling or cancellation of the events. All there are managed by the organizers and iVarta.com only sells the electronic tickets for the convenience of the online buyers. All the ticket sales are final and no refunds or exchanges are allowed after the online purchase and your credit card has been charged. iVarta.com will send a confirmation of the order for tickets via email to the user upon successful processing of the order. This e-receipt is considered as the buyer’s e-Ticket. It is the responsibility of the user to make sure that the email address you provide to us is correct and accurate. The user should print this e-receipt and show it at the Venue along with their photo-id. iVarta.com WILL NOT send Paper tickets to any of the buyers for any of the events sold online at iVarta.com. It is the responsibility of the event organizers to honor the e-tickets they sold at iVarta.com. Sometimes, events are cancelled or rescheduled by the organizers for a various reasons. If the event is cancelled or rescheduled for any reason please contact the organizers for information on receiving a refund. iVarta.com assumes no responsibility for any refunds. iVarta.com will process the refunds only after clear instructions from the event organizers.

Conduct while using iVarta.com services

This Section covers the terms under which various iVarta.com services are made available to you. While using iVarta.com services, you agree NOT to:
