Some anti-Hindu and
anti-Indian groups in USA have coined a funny phrase “South Asian” for the
people from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, etc. A large
majority of the members of these groups that use the meaningless phrase
“South Asian” are Hindus from India. They were born as Hindus. Many of
them were educated in missionary schools or in the KGB funded schools in
India or elsewhere and consider themselves to be intellectuals. But,
somehow they have developed a sense of inferiority for the word Hindu.
They are ashamed of their parentage, ancestry, heritage and civilization.
Many of these so
called intellectuals are endowed with a deep sense of ignorance about the
chivalry, gallantry, sacrifices, courage and magnanimity of their great
Hindu ancestors. So, they like to identify a massive block of one-billion
people as “South Asians” in place of their accurate description as
“Hindus.” Shorn of antiquity and splendor of the Hindu civilization,
shunned by their parents and society, these people with Hindu-sounding
names have become a culturally rootless and a confused lot. Cut asunder
from their roots, these nomadics have been grabbed by their adroit masters
of deception who use, misuse and manipulate them against their own
people. Their masters, of course, pay them according to the amount of
ridicule these ‘intellectuals’ pour on their own people!
A massive block of
one-billion people with no distinct identity of their own? How come?
In order to conceal
their real agenda, these cunning fellows operate under different jargons.
Sometimes, they are touted as “Human Rights Activists” and at the other
times as NGOs. In order to gain credibility, they organize seminars under
fancy names in prestigious universities. They often hobnob with anti-Hindu
groups and work in tandem with them. But the main aim of all their
activities is to create disaffection, drive a wedge between the Hindu
people, demonize and demoralize the Hindu organizations, and ultimately
try to obliterate our cultural mainstay Hinduism from the Indian soil.
As a matter of
tactics, these pseudos have retained their Hindu-sounding names as a
subterfuge to lull gullible Hindus into believing that they are one of
them. In fact, the persons operating these shady organizations are
wolves in sheep’s clothing. It is incumbent on us to challenge them,
expose them and socially boycott them. Mr. K.S. Sudarshan, Chief of RSS
has aptly described them as “Macaulay-putras” and “Marx-putras”. I would
also like to add one more adjective to them – “Arab-putra.” As the Hindi
proverb goes: they are like “Dhobi ka kutta, na ghar ka, na ghaat ka”.
The greatest and the
oldest civilization in the world, and identified by a meaningless name as
the South Asians. What a disgrace?
Let us not forget that
we Hindus are the worthy descendants of great Rishis and Munis, the
countless brilliant minds ever produced by human kind. The word “Hindu”
for us, therefore, has become a magical word, creating a tremendously
unifying and uplifting force within us. When I say “I am a Hindu,” I
instantly connect myself with one of the brightest and the mightiest
groups of one billion Hindus around the globe.
Calling myself Hindu –
and not South Asian – immediately reminds me of my glorious past. It
tells me about the innumerable contributions of my people to the world
civilization. My people possess brilliant brains that invented the
mathematical concepts of Zero and Decimal System. We first conceived the
Law of Gravity and the Law of Relativity. The Pythagorean Theorem was our
gift to the humanity and the value of the mathematical constant was first
computed by us. My ancestors determined the value of the mathematical
constant “Pi.”
Calling myself by my
real identity immediately reminds me of my glorious past
My great ancestors,
the Hindus, developed the Geometry and Algebra, the measurement of Time,
the Astronomy, the Astrology. It was the Hindu people who founded the
world’s first university around 2,700 years ago near Takshashila. The
Hindu Rishis (scientists) originally conceived the concepts of Atom and
Molecule (Anu and Parmanu) 600 BCE. Hindus even knew a lot about
the science of plastic surgery 2600 years ago. Shipbuilding and
Navigation in Ancient India was also known to our forefathers. Iron
pillar at Delhi, located near Kutub Minar – a marvelous feat in metallurgy
– is estimated to have been cast in the Gupta period about 1500 years ago.
Let us understand one
thing very clearly. Anyone describing Hindus as the South Asians is
actuated by an ignoble intent and motivated by a malicious design to
deprive Hindus of their pride and dignity. They want to divest Hindus of
their glorious Hindu identity. They want Hindus to become rootless so as
to misguide and mislead them into an abyss where they are doomed to suffer
for the rest of their lives.
Please remember very
well that I am a proud American Hindu, never, ever dare call me “South
Asian”.
“Hindu” word sends an
electric current through my spine and immediately links me to the sacred
rivers Ganga, Yamuna, Godawari, Kaveri, Brahmputra, Sarasvati. It reminds
me of Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva, Guru Nanak, Lord Ganesha, Lord
Mahavir and Buddha. We Hindus adore Durga Devi, Lakshmi Devi, Sarasvati
Devi, Ambika and Uma with equal devotion and vehemence. When I ponder
over the extraordinary feats of bravery of Rani Lakshmi of Jhansi,
Durgavati, Keladai Chennamma, my head bows down in utmost reverence. The
word “Hindu” transports me mentally to Ayodhya, Mathura, Amritsar, Maya,
Kashi, Kanchi, Haridwar, Avantika, Dwarka, Puri, Madurai, Badrinath and
Kanyakumari.
Talking in terms of
South Asia, we unwittingly associate and identify ourselves with the
people who extol the virtues of hatred and violence
I feel supremely
fulfilled when I think about the great Hindu centers of power in ancient
times – like the Empires of Chola and Pandya Dynasties, the Pataliputra of
Chandragupta, Ujjain of Vikramaditya, Pratishthan of Shalivahan, Devagiri
of Yadavas and Vijaynagar of Harihar and Bukka. When I read the stories
of gallantry, valor and heroism of Guru Gobind Singh ji, Chhatrapati
Shivaji Maharaj, Maharana Pratap Singh, Veer Durgadas, Subhash Chandra
Bose, Bhagat Singh, Banda Bahadur, Veer Savarkar and innumerable known and
unknown Hindu warriors and heroes, my joy knows no bounds.
Contrary to what we
Hindus stand for as I have briefly stated above, when we talk in terms of
South Asia, we unwittingly associate and identify ourselves with the
people who extol the virtues of hatred and violence. They believe in
terrorism and Jihad. Anwar Shaikh, a renowned Muslim religious scholar
from London in his book “This is Jehad” has said that “Thus, for a mujahid
or jehadi, it is not only required to slaughter the unbelievers, even a
peaceful unbeliever, [but also] kidnap and rape his women, enslave his
children, all for the only reason of his unbelief.”
In South Asia,
Afghanistan was the outpost of terrorism and Pakistan has been the
breeding ground of terrorism for a very long time. Bangladesh is fast
becoming another epicenter for jehadis. Pakistan has already ethnically
cleansed the “Kafirs” (non-Muslims) from its soil by converting or driving
out all the Hindu and Sikh population. In 1947, there were about 23%
Hindu-Sikh living in Pakistan, now there is only 1% Hindu population.
Bangladesh has systematically reduced Hindu population from 30% in 1947 to
9% at this time. Islamic militants have driven out about 500,000 Hindus
and Sikhs from the Kashmir valley. South Asia includes all such monstrous
and rogue elements.
Why are Hindus being
lumped together with so many of the uncivilized brutes?
As against those,
Hindus are civilized and peaceful people. They have their special
identity and noble character. It is incomprehensible for me to fathom as
to why Hindus are being lumped together with so many of the uncivilized
brutes. There is nothing common between them and us. They trace their
ancestry to Babar, Gazni and Gori, the worst of pirates and plunderers
that world has seen. They laid waste Hindland and committed unprecedented
brutalities on our people. By bundling the peaceful and noble Hindus with
Arab-zadas (the children of Arabs) and by describing them all as
“South Asians,” an attempt is being made to cover the Islamic misdeeds and
legitimize their beastly behavior.
Politically conscious
Hindus are able to see through your insidious attempt to give
respectability to those who believe in murder and mayhem. How dare you
club the civilized Hindu people with that monstrous mentality that has
heaped untold humiliation on the hapless Hindus?
Don’t you know that
these barbarians bricked alive two sons of our Tenth Guru Govind Singh Ji?
Do not you know that in year 1,399, that Muslim barbarian Taimur killed
100,000 Hindus in a single day? Prof. K.S. Lal, in his “Growth of Muslim
Population in India” writes that according to his calculations, the Hindu
population was brought down by 80 million between the years 1,000 and
1,525 triggering probably the biggest holocaust in world history.” This is
quoted by Francois Gautier, a prominent French journalist. Are you not
aware that these marauders sawed alive our saintly souls and killed our
forefathers limb by limb?
So,
remember very well that I am a proud Hindu. Never, ever dare call me
“South Asian”.
