I am very happy to note that because of efforts of India Cause she was rescued. I think, it proves again and again that nobody cares about Hindus and we have to wake up and take care of our own affairs.

The real closure to this issue can only come when this Bihar's most wanted criminal, his most supportive Bihar minister and the shameless police officers who attended the sultan's guest-house ceremony to celebrate kanchan's brutal rape (so-called wedding reception) are brought to justice and punished severely, as severely as anyone can hardly forget how their fate would be if they do a heinous crime like this to anyone in India. This all can happen when Kanchan can open her voice fearless, to let the world know what has happened to her. If she keeps "quite" fearing the Bihar’s most wanted criminal; none in the world can save her or can trust our criminal procecution system ever. Sultan has been brought to the doors of justice. But the road to real justice is long ahead. I appeal to India cause to be more active in this "criminal's" successful prosecution. You have done a great job.

I am very happy that my hindu sister Kanchan mishra was rescued from the clutches of the criminal gangster sultan mia. I am very much upset with the Indian media, as they totally ignored this story. If it would had been a muslim women these people and sabrang would be shouting all over the place. Thanks Indiacauses, keep the good work going

Seems like Ms Mishra's denied the whole "forced marriage" theory !! Ref: http://www.rediff.com/news/2003/may/05bihar.htm So much for Kanchan Mishra's case and for the hue and cry over it - which of course was justified based on whatever information (or was it misinformation) was available at the time Indiacause took up the issue. A commendable job of gathering public opinion to force the government into action. I just hope this one "lost" case does not dampen the spirits of either Indiacause or the Indian public. Kudos to all involved in this noble job !!

I am really glad to hear this news. believe me, its not been covered in any newspaper of TV channel even in India and we have heard this news only from you. I am glad for this but sad at the state of affairs. I recall my father had written to the Editor of Outlook when it first appeared and also to a couple of other newspaper and then gave up when there was no news trickling in. First of all congratulations on your part in securing her release. The reason most Indian newspapers ignored the story, very possibly because Bihar is such a lawless state, starting from the Chief Minister himself, anything illegal that happens there is not considered anything out of the ordinary. Besides most Indian newspapers are run by by people who have not a vestige of pride in being Hindus. Also the Hindus themselves seem to be apathetic towards their own brethren.

I appreciate NHRC India for taking steps to put a dreaded criminal like Sultan Mian behind bars for now. But I dont see any irreversible action being taken in the case of Sultan Mian regarding Kanchan Mishra case. What is the guarantee that in a country like India where law is being sold out day in-day out, that Sultan Mian wont come out of prison after some time with some political connection and once again do abduct Kanchan Mishra !!!!!! Infact my above said is what seems to be happening in Salman Khan landcruiser mumbai roadside man killing case. He seems to be outside jail and manipulating law right now...
