This is a product (socks with 'OM')
distributed by Gold Medal Hosiery in New York.
(Media reports on July 3, 2003 said:
"Gold Medal Hosiery in New York, which distributes the offending socks,
declined to comment. The label on the socks says the product has been made in
South Korea. They have been designed by New Yorker Linda Maddocks")
On July 4, 2003 IndiaCause sent formal letter to the President of Gold
Medal Hosiery, Mr.Paul Rotstein. We received following e-mail Apology from Mr.Paul Rotstein.
He did not comment on our suggestion to withdraw this product. Therefore
we assume GMH will continue to distribute this product.

start off by apologizing for causing concern and outrage at our
inadvertent use of the "Om" symbol.

that tolerance and harmony are core beliefs that we live by.
Sincerely yours,
